| Dr. Phyllis Sanders, Trainer |

Dr. Sanders has 30 years experience in public schools at all levels: elementary, middle, high, community college, and university. As an educational consultant, she combines education theories with practical realities of school life. Her work as a state administrator for South Carolina allows her to seek ways to examine best practices and strategies for improving student achievement and school performance, and she works closely with exemplary educators in their roles as mentors and coaches to classroom teachers. In addition to providing training and staff development for educators, she has done extensive work in parent and community involvement efforts. Her B.A. in English and both of her Master's degrees (counseling and administration) were received from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro; her Ph.D. was received from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. In her research, she examined the practices of high poverty schools with high student achievement. |

| Judy S. Sanderson, Trainer |

Ms. Sanderson has 28 years teaching experience and 7 years as an Instructional Resource Teacher and a Curriculum and Teacher Support Specialist in the Georgia school system. She has received Teacher of the Year award as well as achieving finalist as Elementary Teacher of the Year. She has been honored as a Teacher of Excellence, a Trainer of Trainers in the Georgia Tech "Jason Project," and nominated for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics. Ms. Sanderson is active as a guest speaker, co-author of educational pamphlets and videos, and a member of the Health Curriculum Revision Committee. Ms. Sanderson has earned a Confratute (Teaching Gifted Students in Regular Education) from the University of Connecticut and has achieved Teacher Support Specialist: Fulton County Schools. She earned her M.E. (Middle Grades Education) from North Georgia College and her B.S. in education from Georgia Southern College. |

| Dr. Susan Simms, Trainer |

Dr. Simms has 10 years of secondary math classroom experience, 11 years as assistant principal, 6 years as Coordinator of Adult Education, and 14 years as Assistant Professor at Austin Peay State University. She has a B.S. in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University, an M.S.T. in mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University, and an Ed.D. in educational administration from Tennessee State University. |

| Teressa Skeete, Trainer |

Ms. Skeete began her career as an elementary school teacher with the New York City Board of Education where she later became a staff developer in mathematics and instructional coordinator for various schools—including one of MRSH's pilot sites. In 1997, Ms. Skeete relocated to San Antonio, Texas to assume the role of Site Manager for the Modern Red SchoolHouse Institute. Her primary responsibility was to assist 18 schools (ranging from elementary to high school) with the planning and implementation of the MRSH approach. Ms. Skeete holds a B.S. in accounting from Fordham University along with an M.S. in education from the City University of New York at Lehman College. |

Ms. Terry, Director of Bilingual/ESL Program in the Garland Independent School District, earned a B.A. (English and Spanish) from Texas A&M University-Commerce, a Master's in bilingual education from Southern Methodist University, and a course of study at Texas Christian University which allowed her to obtain a Mid-management Certificate from the State Board of Educator's Certification in Texas. Ms. Terry was accepted into the University of Phoenix Doctor of Management Program in fall 1999. She has served the education communities of Dallas, Garland, and Fort Worth school districts in the following capacities: a fifth grade bilingual/ESL teacher, a bilingual/ESL kindergarten teacher, a bilingual parent educator, a bilingual/ESL curriculum specialist, an adjunct professor at Texas Woman's University, Assistant Director for the International Newcomer Academy, Coordinator of Bilingual/ESL Programs, Assistant Director of Bilingual/ESL Programs, and Director of Bilingual/ESL Programs. She has also served as the co-editor for the TESOL publication, Bilingual Basics. |
