Freta Villanueva, Trainer
 

Ms. Villanueva graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Elementary Education from Dallas Baptist University. She has several teaching certificates in ESL and dyslexia, and has been a member of the International Dyslexia Association since 2000. Ms. Villanueva has spent the last 16 years as an educator and consultant, and has worked with the Garland Independent School District in Garland, TX modeling ESL methodologies and assisting non-certified teachers in obtaining ESL certification. She has also created district-wide plans designed to enhance learning and acquisition of language for ELL students.

 
Gary Walton, Trainer
 
Mr. Walton has taught for 32 years and is a full time mathematics distance-learning teacher for Broward County Schools in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He provides mathematics lessons to 64 classes a week through videoconferencing, is an active member of Broward County Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and has been a guest presenter at the last six national and state conferences. He is the writer, producer, and star of two mathematics television series for elementary students that are used throughout the United States: "Putting Geometry on the Map" and "Measuring Up." He is also the author of a geometry activity book, "Explore Acute to Obtuse," using the Triman 360 degree protractor and Triman safety compass. Mr. Walton serves as an active member of the mathematics cadre for Broward County Schools, the fifth largest school system in the country. He has received numerous awards and has been listed multiple times in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." Mr. Walton received his B.A. and M.S. degrees from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
 
Dianna Wilkerson, Trainer
 
Dianna Wilkerson received her M.Ed. from Texas A&M University at Commerce, where she focused on learning technology and information systems with an emphasis in educational computing, and she completed her undergraduate work at East Texas State . She has taught at all grade levels, including the university level. Ms. Wilkerson worked in Texas with the whole school reform design, Co-Nect; is currently working on her doctorate in the area of organizational change; and was recently invited to attend the President's Leadership Summit on High Schools in Washington, D.C.
 
Rebekah Williams, Trainer
 

Ms. Williams has been a member of the Modern Red SchoolHouse team since its beginnings. As a teacher in one of MRSH’s pilot schools, she has been part of the growth and development of the Institute. Working in over a dozen states, her trainings have focused upon the areas of curriculum development, differentiated instruction, instructional strategies, model teaching, and creating effective learning environments. Ms. Williams has presented at national conferences including Core Knowledge, National Association for the Education of Young Children, National Indian Association, and IMSeries. She also has been a member of the faculty of Indiana Wesleyan University, where she taught English composition classes. Ms. Williams holds an M.A. in elementary education from Indiana University and has done post-graduate work at the University of Connecticut. She has been a classroom teacher for more than 25 years, teaching kindergarten through grade six and special education; currently, she is a teacher in grades four, five, and six in Columbus, Indiana.
