Success Pays Off at Cadwalader
We are pleased to announce more good news from Cadwalader Elementary of Trenton, New Jersey, a school with which we are continuing a long and productive association. Cadwalader recently received state recognition as a Governor’s School of Excellence, demonstrating quality performance in areas such as student achievement, parent and community involvement, and professional development. Cadwalader’s academic successes brought them beyond the requirement of at least two years of significant improvement, and their focus on literacy, aided by MRSH and Cornerstone, a balanced literacy initiative, has assisted them in providing the type of quality and consistency that exists in their instructional program.
In a move typifying the sense of community that characterizes this school, Principal Gloria Tunstall sought input from the students, staff, and Leadership Team about spending the $25,000 stipend that accompanies this award. She enthused about the great strides Cadwalader has made, stating, “One reason for our success is that all our efforts enhance each other. We never lose sight of our mission. Our school has worked hard to earn this recognition.”
Modern Red SchoolHouse and the state of New Jersey agree:
Congratulations, Cadwalader!
